Until now the main obstacle for wider use of LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) has been the cost of special vessels, terminals, and trucks designed solely for LNG, in addition LNG has so far been unloaded and filled at every stage of the distribution chain. 

With the revolutionary LNGTainer system no unloading and refilling is required, instead the container can be moved with content fron ordinary container-ships to transport trucks and the LNGTainer can itself be used for storage. The handling of LNGTainer containers is easy using existing infrastructure for the handling of ordinary shipping containers.
